The best place is on the facia board near the very peak of the roof. This ensures that you have maximum coverage. Height is everything with structural protection in order to create the best hydration bubble surrounding your home. No the sprinkler does not require winterization. Simply disconnect the hose from your hose bib and roll it up about eye level and fasten to the side of the building to keep the end out of the snow. The sprinkler will self drain. Ember Armor is designed to always be on your building, available to firefighters, even when you aren't home for a fire event.
40 to 60 PSI is typical for a household and will typically run 2 sprinklers.
It is important to remember that firefighters performing structural protection will often supply a pump that can do 300 psi or higher and can run multiple sprinklers for several houses. If you don't have the pressure to run ALL your sprinklers it doesn't matter. The important thing is your house is ready to activate in a moments notice if structural protection crews need to activate your sprinklers. Each installation saves a 4 man structural protection crew 1 hour of setup time during a fire event and you will have better protection coverage.
We neatly hide the hose under your facia board with the stainless steel power coated clips so that you have a nice clean look, and a sprinkler system that is operational for the fire department 24/7 and throughout the fire season. There is no need to disconnect the hose. That said if you choose to do so you can, but we try to eliminate the need for ladders seasonally.

This will help determine how many you need. E-mail us pictures and we will give you a free quote.

Yes, improperly installed or used sprinklers can cause water damage in particular around poorly sealed vents and Chimneys. We setup our sprinkler heads to avoid Chimneys and Skylight areas whereas may other competitors only offering 360 degree sprinkler heads do not. Western Wildfire accepts no responsibility for water damage.
Yes! If they are anywhere near your house you don't want them catching fire. That would be like having a bonfire on your back porch. Everything that could burn near the house should be protected to give your house a good chance of surviving a wildfire.
